Types of Occupational Therapy Services

 

Direct Services: Individual sessions are geared toward specific goals identified from the initial assessment that support and develop successful engagement and participation in daily routines, roles and occupations, and play skills at home and school.

In person and telehealth occupational therapy sessions available.  

​

Consultation: Collaboration services are provided to parents, caregivers and schools with ongoing communication to support a child's performance skills. 

​

Home Programs: Supports the therapeutic process with weekly exercises and practice of skills. 

​

Evaluations: Assessments typically take 1-2 visits and provide a comprehensive overview of a child's development. The evaluation identifies areas of need and goals. Evaluations may utilize the following assessment tools. Bruininks-Oseretsky Motor Proficiency II, Sensory Profile II, Sensory Processing Measure-SPM-2, Peabody Developmental Motor Scales-3rd Edition, Miller Function and Participation Scales (M-FUN), Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT), Developmental Test of Visual Perception-3, Clinical Observations of skills. â€‹

Types of Therapy Programs: Sensory Integration, Perceptual Enrichment Program-PEP, Interactive Metronome, SOS Approach to Feeding, Sensory Self-regulation Programs: (Zones of Regulation, ALERT Program), The Wilbarger Deep Pressure and Proprioceptive Technique (DPPT) , Neurodevelopmental Therapy-NDT, Handwriting Programs (Handwriting without Tears, Loops and Groups, Size Matters), Fine motor & Gross motor skill development and training, Integrated Listening Systems, Integrated Play Groups-Strength Based Approach, and S'cool moves.
